Crocheted Mushrooms

For Mushroom May, I decided to try to crochet some mushrooms. So I made a couple. Then a few more. Then even more. I have 10 finished and I’m going to keep making them until I run out of the white yarn I have.

(I cut some bamboo skewers in half, stuck the pointy ends into the mushrooms, then stuck them into the ground for this picture.)

Finished mushrooms:

The two with the spots use this pattern (Ravelry link) from this book.

The rest are variations on the ‘Crochet Mushrooms’ pattern from this page.

All of them use an F hook (3.75 mm), yarn that’s roughly worsted weight (some colors were mystery balls of yarn that have been in my stash for ages), and polyester stuffing.

They’re fun and quick to make! I have a few more stems that needs caps - I think they’ll be a good project for some of my miscellaneous balls of leftover yarn.

I made more mushrooms! These ones were given to my local library for prizes for their summer reading program.
