Cross stitch and blackwork

I made these 2 cross stitch pieces for the hoopless hoopla swap. The first is a sunflower

The next is a cat on a window, which has some blackwork on it

And of course I didn’t think to iron them once I was finished

They look lovely! I like the rustic fabric for the sunflower and the red detail in the blackwork piece.

Cross Stitch takes forever and these both look amazing! Great color transition on the sunflower and I love the minimalist style of the cat.

Both absolutely lovely, but I love the way the blackwork details just trail off at the edges. Very elegant.
