Cute Dragons Kindle Case

I found this super cute fabric on Spoonflower and ordered a fat quarter. My mom loves dragons and I knew she’d adore it. I settled on making her a kindle pouch as she’s an avid reader.

The lining is a mottled medium blue that works well with the main fabric colors. I used stabilizer on the exterior and liner fabrics and some thin batting.

I tried quilting the exterior panels but ended up hating the messy look (I’m terrible at quilting). Instead I cut a new panel and just basted the edges.

Yes, it turned out nicely! Can you use the quilted panel to make a mug rug or coasters? It is such cute fabric to waste…I thought the quilting was fine!

@AntBee - thank you!

@AIMR - thank you! Excellent suggestion on making the quilted section into a mug rug! That can be the first new item on my 2026 to-craft list!

Thank you, @TheMistressT, @MistressJennie , and @Harlan!

The quilted piece will be made into something for sure. I hate wasting anything, but especially pretty fabric!

I’m jumping in on the “quilting looks fine, make something with it” bandwagon :grin:
