Dammit Doll

A friend was reminiscing about receiving a dammit doll years ago and lamenting that she wishes she still had it… she could use one lately. She hinted that such would make a good gift, so… I made her one!

I don’t recall ever actually seeing a dammit doll, so did a little research and determined that it ought to be easily grip-able and not have any hard things (like button eyes) so when one bangs it against a surface, nothing/no one is harmed.

My friend loves polka dots and enjoys yellow, so I thought this fabric from stash would be suitable. And maybe makes it just a little be less creepy? The yarn is from stash as well. It’s about 12" tall.

What a fun idea and a lovely thing to do for your friend. I feel like I use my needoh bunny as a dammit doll when I’m frustrated.

This seems like such a good way to (safely!) work out frustrations. The cheery colours make a nice counterpoint to the angst he’ll likely help vent.
