Dragon Eye Watercolor Postcard

This is the postcard I painted for the August Postcard Club in the Camp Nerd Games. I wanted to paint something, and I wanted to enjoy the act of painting, but I had no brain power to come up with new ideas. I just wanted to watch a tutorial from a nice person, who likes to inspire others, and go with the flow. So I turned to this tutorial from Andrea Nelson Art. I love her calm, cheerful manner, and her encouraging refrain of “You can do this”. I sent it off the first or second day of August, so I certainly hope that it found its way to its new home by now!

Thank you!

This came out great! I especially like the added glint on the eye, and the way you layered the watercolor on the eye as well as on the scales gives the whole painting depth and dimension!
