Dwarf Beech

Last week I took some pictures of a pretty amazing tree.
I played around with some filters and thought I’d share the results.

I’m not much of a photographer and I mostly take pictures as inspiration for paintings but I’m pretty happy with those

So pretty! I looks as if there are little fairies dancing among the boughs…

I bet with your talent that would be the most amazing pictures.
There were also several places where the tree swallowed parts of a fence.

Thank you and I bet you could get some amazing shots. I bet it would be great in black and white/monochrome and probably has some cool insect shots if ya went macro.

@Renstar the most amazing thing is that it’s actually just one tree. It’s a very rare species of beech trees that form extremely cool structures. When a branch meets the ground at some point it will grow roots and when a root hits the surface it will start sprouting branches. Here’s the Wikipedia article. That tree is the one in Hannover.

@Zimbaly my daughter also took some pictures. Here’s a glimpse through the lense of an 8 yo.

Ohhh thank you! A featured project with photography. That’s something I would have never imagined.

My mom was an amazing photographer all her life but I never quite got the hang of it.
