Emotional Support Chicken

When I found this emotional support chicken pattern I had to make it!

Pattern: Emotional Support Chicken
Hook: G (4.0 mm)
Yarn: worsted weight acrylics

This chicken pattern had been in my queue for a while, but when I found the leftover ball of black/white/gray yarn in my stash, I knew it had to be a chicken!

I used up most of the ball of yarn and a little bit of red, yellow, and black I had. Everything was from stash, even the polyester stuffing.

Emotional Support Chicken ended up just under 5" long and ~ 4" tall.

This was a pretty fast project, so I didn’t get any in-progress pictures, but here’s Emotional Support Chicken helping with another project:

I’ve seen emotional support chickens making the rounds on Facebook. They’re so cute! I might need to make a couple of these for my nephews who are obsessed with my in-laws’ chickens for Christmas.

What a fun idea! I really like the pattern that the variegated yarn provided and how the bright red comb contrasts against it.
