Fabric & brown paper bag book

Made for @Edel for Positive Affirmations R-5, fabric covered cardboard with washed brown paper bag pages, machine stitched.

I liked this watercolour pink & blue fabric for the inside.

Edel’s affirmation is added to the inside end paper.

Finished with a vintage shell button from my very special hoard, erm, collection… & a scrappy tasseled ribbon bookmark/tie.

I really liked this print of paintbrushes for her right now. I hope she use it for something fun!

What a fabulous notebook and so pretty. I love the fabric choices and those pages are just begging for some lazy afternoons sketching!

I thought it could make a nice travel journal, or to hold squares or circles cut out of interesting tidbits.

The textured pages may be challenging to write or drawn on but they’d make a cool frame for other interesting stuff.

This is truly special - for a truly special person. I love the contrast of the wrinkly kraft paper pages with the precision of your high-quality construciton and thoughtful materials choices.

Sure, I’ve posted about it a few times before so I left it out this time but there’s a link here that I hope still works. I doubled up pages & stitched around the edge because that sort of paper isn’t as sturdy as years past.

Thanks everybody, I’m glad you like it. I hope it’s inspiring some similar projects. “garbage” paper journals are a great way to use up recycling!

I really like the washed brown paper and the machine stitching.
