Fair Isle hat

I can’t take credit for the color choices, they are the sample given in the pattern. They are what drew me to the pattern in the first place! This was my first real Fair Isle project and I love the finished look.

Here’s the link to the book on the Leisure Arts site.

It’s beautiful, I’m so jealous!!
I would love to do fair isle, but I am just too chicken.
And I know I can just pull it out if I mess up. But still…

Amazeballs! I can’t even believe that can be made by hands & sticks. Just mind blowing :exploding_head:

Thanks, Friends! Honestly, though, it is much easier than it looks. I’ve done a bit of color work before but this was my first Fair Isle project. Jump in and just take it stitch by stitch. :slightly_smiling_face:

I love color changing yarn in fair isle knitting. It’s double clever.

Oh, that’s a great idea! I’ll have to try that next. Maybe for mittens…

Is that very middle section not a gradient?

If not, wow! It was so well done, I just assumed. Fantastic work!!

Oh wow, thanks! No, the hat has all solid yarns in 6 colors. The designer is a color genius, in my opinion. Here they are now, I have a ton left so I’m thinking maybe making mittens to go with the hat? We’ll see. That’s a problem project for NEXT winter! haha
