Faith & Family wall hanging or lawn flag

I made this as a Christmas gift for my cousin. I am not happy with it for a million reasons. I am posting it, anyway. It is good for the world to see my best work, as well as my clunkers.

Looks pretty awesome to me. I had to zoom in to see the stitching and I still can’t believe that’s hand done. Wow, the beautiful precision on that font!

I think it’s really lovely! The weaving and tiny stitches are wonderful and that stitched text - wow!

thanks for posting this! truly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, bec this looks fantastic to me (and others here, as well as the recipient, I’m sure!)
This makes me want to attempt weaving in a color family like this – great idea (and I really like the phrase…it speaks of important concepts)
we are our own worst critics & I often delay or skip posting photos of projects I tell myself aren’t “good enough”, so thanks again for putting this into our crafty space

I wanted to add that while you know how you wanted it to look, we only see your amazing embroidery skills. I mean, the detail, the precision of every one of those stitches!
That’s real craftsmanship!

We’re our own harshest critics, often unfairly so (words I should listen to myself). Please be proud of the work you’ve put into this even if it doesn’t look like what you had planned.

Was this hand embroidered? It looks machine stitched (in a good way). Lovely stitches.
