I found and fell in love with this felt bird pattern. Inspired by the eastern bluebird and taking a few liberties with the kind of blue, I put the little critter together.
I want to give kudos to the pattern maker as the instructions were super clear and they included some great tips. In fact, while sewing is my jam — I wouldn’t say hand sewing with felt is my jam but I really liked how the little bird turned out and I think some of that was because they included such good tips!
I am amused that Siri identifies the bird as the eastern bluebird. I mean, yes, it is supposed to be an eastern bluebird but half the time Siri doesn’t appear to recognize the real animals and plants in my photos.
I love the wings!
