Finding Balance, Felted Necklace

Seems like I was always heading back to my wet felting closet to rework or add elements to this piece.
Not sure I like the large stitching. Will live with it for a day and decide or I’ll be on to something else and this will be what it is.

Do you sell your work at fairs or a shop or something? You always do such lovely pieces!

So cool and clever! The fastenings intrigue me, and I love the texture in the feature bit.

Thank you!!
I will gladly re-home all my work.
I don’t do fairs. I’m on Etsy, but currently not making use of it. There’s a couple other places that I’m looking at.
Currently I’m trying to gain skills and “re-find” myself as an artist. I’m tentatively working towards writing another book, but haven’t really finalized what I want it to be. That project sort of floats around in my brain when I’m working on any of my pieces with thoughts: would I want to make this piece again; what would be a better way to do this; how hard is it going to be to photograph all the steps; etc. etc.
I think I’m getting closer to being ready for the book, but I’m not there. I’m still struggling with some construction techniques which I really feel I need to master not only because that will provide me with greater freedom, but because that will give my pieces greater structural integrity.
In many ways I feel like a baby bird that is almost ready to fly. Soon I hope!

Thank you!!

The fastenings are basically button and loop. Not original to me by any means! I’ve seen them in other fiber work and probably best done by Lisa Klakulak who has some wicked felting skills!!

Love the name of this one! The focal piece has so much going on, I could look at it forever and still find something new.
