Floral 3-Ring Recipe Book

I made this blank recipe book for @geekgirl in the Winter Book Swap.

The covers are wood, painted blue, decoupaged with decorative cardstock, and sealed. The divider pages are from the same book of scrapbook paper as the cover, and the blank sheets are from a collection of neutral cardstock. I used a corner-rounder on the pages and stickers on the divider sheets (so she could decide on her own categories for the book). I traced the tabs from my own recipe book (which is where I got the idea to make this).

How nice!
I input all my recipes into the computer a few years ago, but I print them out, then keep the printouts tucked into the Joy of Cooking. I need to make something like this!

How did you do the holes in the wood covers? A drill?

I started putting in things I am always looking up in the book.

So far I have a salad dressing recipe o make a lot. And instant pot times.

Yay! You’re already using it!

I did drill the holes in the cover, but the wood was a bit thin and the edges were really rough. I had to glue around the holes, then sand them down using my electric nail file (it’s like a low power dremel).

This is wonderful!
