USPS finally saw fit to get me my package from @geekgirl today. Photos to come – I just took a quick work break to check the mail.

@jellybean how did you make the black scraperboard cards? I’ve tried a recipe with Indian ink and chalk and it’s not working, but the one you sent me in this swapped scratched off beautifully

I replied to your pm, but for anyone else who wants to know where I got them, they’re these ones. I found them on clearance at a store years ago & have been too chicken to try them, so I’ve been adding them to swap packages as extras. 
(I think the tutorials I’ve seen usually use oil pastels or crayons on paper for the color part & then paint or paint + dish soap (not sure why) for the part you scratch off, but I’ve never actually tried it.)
