Gnome for the Holidays Casserole Carrier & Matching Bowl Cozies

My holiday was very hectic. So hectic that it almost didn’t happen. It had been hit or miss since before Thanksgiving, but we made it. It was the same way for my parent’s neighbors. They are amazing people and had family members in the hospital or poor health at the same time.
One night, after the holidays, the neighbor came over to my parent’s house to grab her mail and saw my casserole carrier that my Mom had set aside for me to bring home. Offhanded, she said it was neat, and she could use one. She is so nice I set about making her one.
They do so much for my parents. It was the least I could do.

She loves gnomes, so I ordered her fabric and used what was left to make her some bowl cozies too!

Hopefully, next year is less hectic for the both of us!

I love this- the project, the fabric, and the motivation behind it. Kindness and caring make the best gifts.

I hope 2024 proves to be easier for everyone.

So nice! Useful & cute, as well as a wish fulfilled. Did she love them?

I haven’t seen her since my parents gave it to them. But my mom said she loved them. I purposefully didnt wrap them because i didnt want her to feel like it was a belated Christmas gift and feel the need to reciprocate.
