Goodbye, favorite coworker

One of my favorite coworkers is leaving our team tomorrow

We’re having a roast and toast of Sam, all in good fun, of course!

I had to make a cookie cake to commemorate the occasion!

I used the Japanese book of color combinations to help me choose frosting colors. This book is amazing

Color palette 302 to the rescue!

What a lovely way to send off a coworker!

I have that book and it is really amazing! The color combos are just so unique and some of them, you think will never work but they do!! I love the colors you picked for the cake…gorgeous and such a fun message.

That’s excellent and intriguing that you used the book for the colours-great idea. Can you show us the front cover, for all of us who have decided we can’t possibly be happy a moment longer without it.

Thanks friends!

There’s two volumes of this book, I have both. The first volume features 2-4 color combinations, the second volume features 3-7 color combinations with sections devoted to months of the year, tapestries, kimonos, earthenware, etc… both books have come in super handy, from embroidery floss and yarn selections, to my day to day outfits or date night matching with my husband I find myself referencing this book A LOT

Here is me and my husband coordinating for date night. His stunned look was “what are you doing in the bathroom with me”

You can also reverse search colors. Let’s say you have a certain color you want to complement, you find the color is the back of the book and it tells you which palettes feature that color

Sam needs a cake that says, “Good luck finding a coworker who makes cakes even remotely as cool.” Another delightful and delicious cake by you!

Thanks so much for sharing about these books. I bet there’s going to be a small run on them them now!

I love everything about this post! And those books sound amazing! I’m going to add them to @FiredGinkgo wishlist for her classroom. The kids can use them for choosing glaze combinations!
