Our grandson lives quite a ways away, so I made a little hug pillow. We traced his arms & hands onto paper, then transfered it to linen. Embroidered it adding his name, age, & the year we traced it. I made it into a pillow with a red corduroy backing.
What a fun idea! And so much more creative than the regular kid handprint picture. I bet he loves it when he gets older and sees how much he’s grown.
That is the cutest, sweetest thing ever!
thanks, I hope so.
My husband joked if we do this yearly we’d have a crazy amount of these pillows, but I think I may take them apart in the future & applique them on a large quilt out of them.
awww-what a lovely way to feel your granbaby everyday! Your stitching is simple and lovely. The red corduroy is also so bright and happy!
That is the loveliest idea and it looks wonderful!
A quilt made out of yearly pillows might be an amazing and fun gift when he starts college.
I love this! Grandbaby hugs are the BEST!!
Adorable!
This is not only adorable, but also elevated decor. The quilt idea is wonderful, too! Maybe Xavier needs a gramma hug pillow, too?
now you can get a hug whenever you want! doesn’t replace the real deal but that is such an awesome sentiment <3
that’s a cute idea, but I’m just imagining making a grandpa hug for him & trying to figure out where his mom is going to put a 6.5 foot long pillow ![]()
Haha! I forgot to consider just how long of a pillow that could be! More of a body pillow than a lumbar.
I love everything about this! ![]()
