Thank you! And yes, SO HUGE. Hoo boy.
Your friends who asked why so many shelves just don’t understand lol
Also, this is amazing! I really admire carpentry! It’s such a a handy skill to have. Great job!
Thank you! It was fun to learn so much while working on this!
This is SO impressive and beautiful (just look at all those books!)! You did an amazing job on this, I love all the details! And the fact that you not only finished the bookcase, but then managed to get all the books organized and put away on the shelves - dang, just dang! Um, if you could please send some of that ‘can do’ energy my way, I’d really appreciate it
.
I’m absolutely swooning over your library!!! This is my dream….! (One of many, I’ll admit
)
And I see Dr Potter and Solomon Parker swag!
Yaaaaasssss!!
@AudiobookLover Thank you! I must give credit to TheMisterT who put 70% of the books on there. I would also say that the shelves are not what anyone would call organized for the most part, other than by height. I put some of my like-books together, but TheMisterT preferred that his like-books not be together in most cases.
@Bunny1kenobi Good eye! I made sure to move the contents of his author-stuff shelf from the other room to a prime spot before hardly any of the other books were put in place.

How do you just build furniture? I can make crafty stuff, but furniture is on a whole new level. This is like when I watch Adam Savage on YouTube build a cart for his soldering knife because he needed something for it. So he just…built it.
We had a formal dining room in our house and are slowly transforming it into a library with a reading area. We hired someone to come in and put in shelving then a different person to paint it. We’re really just patiently waiting to find the perfect rug.
I am in amazement. High-five to you for finishing it!
Aw, thanks! I love what you’re telling me about your dining room > library! My shelves are built more like cabinetry than furniture, which takes quite a bit less experience! But thanks so much for all your gushing!
I don’t think I’ve ever described a bookcase as delicious, but this one is. It’s so rich and beautiful! I love it.
Aww, thanks! We’re trying to an old European manor library look with the cases. The room will be more added-along-the-way look.
