Harujuku Decora Turkey

Lmao I’m sorry?

Okay I’m not really sorry. I have a deep love of turkeys. They are ridiculous and beautiful and gross and they got that gross phallic thing on their beaks and that weird long thing of hair on their chests and they’re just hangin’ out in the parking deck at petsmart… lmao they’re great and as a plus they have been regularly attacking my brother on his amazon delivery routes which is endlessly hilarious as long as he doesn’t get injured. (He hasn’t)

I also love Harajuku and decora. Harujuku is a neighborhood in Tokyo and is renowned for colorful street art and youth fashion like Decora. Decora is, if you can guess, decorating the HELL out of yourself to the point of absurdity. It’s really cute and weird and I love it. For reference, here’s some examples of decora girls:

So, with that explanation in mind, may I present to you, Decora Turkey:

Yeah, art should be self-explanatory or whatever blah blah blah but I wanted you to see my vision: just a regular turkey from the petsmart parking deck walks into a shipping container and accidentally gets shipped to Tokyo. He then wanders the streets of Harajuku and becomes INSPIRED. Of course there are no cute turkey clothes available but he just does his best. He is a decora boy and he is now very happy.

Thank you for listening to my nonsense. <3

That is AWESOME! I used to have a copy of Fruits from 2001, a photo book of Japanese street fashion. Super cool then, still pretty freaky fantastic now. Fun! I enjoy your turkey, looks and story!

Stand tall and free in your truth, proud turkey! I love his story. He was destined for so much more than Wal-Mart.
