Heaven's River Temari

The third of my gift series, and my first try making a combination-8 division! To envision the difference, imagine you have a north and south pole running along a Y-axis. Mark segments like you would separate an orange. That is a simple division. Then move the poles to an X-axis and make the same markings. Then add a Z-axis and mark the segments. It creates a more complex looking pattern.

I used metalic silver to mark the divisions, then wrapped each line in blues in random order. The pattern is ‘Heaven’s River’ from Suess’ Japanese Temari. Soon I’m going to look for a new pattern book just to switch it up!

The instructions called for a larger sized ball for this pattern, but my planning stages haven’t extended out that far yet.
