Hip Hip Hooray It's Your 21st Birthday Card

Our elder niece is turning 21 soon. In the US 21, is considered a milestone birthday and is generally the legal drinking age. Since I have these fun cocktail dies, I thought this was the perfect use for them.

There was a lot of effort into making all the components and I’m pretty tickled with how they turned out, so there are a lot of pics. :person_shrugging:

I will probably send it in a box via UPS, because I can insure the gift card I am including it that way.

I didn’t use a card blank for this, it’s 6x6" (15.24cm square), so I had to make an envelope. Luckily I had another sheet of the ombre paper that I used for the card!

Instead of gluing the envelope flaps, I decided to make it open flat, using a string-and-button closure.

What a detailed card! I love the “salt” on the rims.

Hehe, thanks! I used a chunkier glitter on the marg to make it look more like salt and a finer one on the cosmo to imply sugar.

Even the little drink pics are detailed!

A lot of the credit for details should go to Spellbinders who makes the cocktail dies and holiday add-ons for the martini one (Halloween and Christmas). It’s still so much fun to choose the papers, add inking, etc. I had to use a candy die to make a cherry, though. How is there no cherry in these sets? There’s a cocktail onion, for crying out loud!

Your card is great. All the detailed parts. I would love to see your die collection. You seem to have one for every event. LOL!

Thanks so much! There are just so many cool and tempting dies out there! I have had to rein myself in many a time so as not add more to my personal selection totally willy-nilly.
