Holding Hope

I was at a service fair today and participated in a little project to paint encouragement and support on rocks that will be given to survivors of abuse. Sometimes people just need to be reminded that they matter, even when those who are close to them have forgotten that fact, and mistreat them. These are some of the ones I painted.

Thanks for looking.

These are lovely and such a kind service project. Sometimes the littlest gestures mean the most.

Thank you. You’re right- even a smile and a kind word can be enough to change a life for the better.

I love this kind of initiative. Every little bit helps.

Thanks!

These are beautiful and very thoughtful. We love painting rocks! Did you use acrylic pens? I found that they work really well for handwriting and details.

Thank you!

Yes, we did use acrylic pens.

These are very sweet. What a nice project.

And a rock would make a great projectile if someone isn’t nice to them again.

Bahaaaahaaa!

Even as I was making them, that quote from The Princess Bride kept popping into my head: “The minute his head is in view, hit it with the rock!” But I thought that might not be an appropriate sentiment…. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
