Would anyone be up for a cookie recipe swap in October? International friendly. Each person would make a decorated recipe card with a favorite holiday cookie recipe on it to share with their partner. Swappers can choose 1, 2, or 3 partners.

The recipe cards you have as examples are soooo cute!
I’d be interested! And yes, in general I write my recipes in metric weights. But there are good conversion charts and I could adjust it depending on where you’re from. And I own measuring cups so receiving US recipes is no problem. What is most confusing for me is when the ingredients list something like a stick of butter without any information on the measurements.

Just so people can plan accordingly if they’d like, here’s my current plan:
9/25 Sign-ups open
10/9 Sign-ups close, partners assigned
10/30 Send outs due
People can sign up for 1, 2, or 3 partners. By doing recipe cards after partners are assigned, recipes can be tweaked based on allergens, flavor preferences (to avoid flavors someone listed that they hate), and recipient’s country (metric vs imperial).
Some of my favorite recipes that are in rotation came from previous swaps! Y’all are good cooks!
I have some family favorites that have been handed down for generations. I could do a fun swap like this one!
Heirloom and family recipes are my secret love. The kind scribbled on a paper by grandma and then loosely tucked in a recipe book and guarded like a dragon’s hoard.
My sister got my mother’s recipe box which had her homemade strawberry cheesecake made with 13 eggs. She has been finding excuse after excuse for not giving it to me…I think she enjoys being the only one in the family who can make it and then bring it for a family dinner. 
I’d be tempted to snap a pic of that recipe next time you’re at her house! Family recipes especially should be shared among multiple family members to make sure they aren’t lost.
My grandma was a great cook…but she never wrote a single thing down or taught her daughters a single recipe. And thus every delicious thing she made was lost the day she died.
I am teaching my nieces many of the Japanese dishes that they remember when they went to grandma’s house. We are doing a sushi party…and their dad, my brother, wants to come as well!
