Hello you crafty people. I invited my DW @madebyBeaG to watch a movie on TV with me next Saturday. What better way to do it than with a self made invitation card? I’ve always loved pop up books/cards. I think I might make me some more in the future. Now that I’ve got the hang of it… CJ
I like how the seats pop up in the front!
Your hand lettering is impressive! This looks really good
So cute! Did she say yes? Is it a date?
Very clever and I love the film strip borders!
Hope she has said “yes”!
This is so sweet and a romantic gesture! Let us know if she said yes!
This puts the “awwww” in romance! Such a thoughtful thing to do.
This has all the things! Charm! Creativity! Details! Romance! Mad skeelz!
Super cute! Did you illustrate the card too? I love the character it has.
Awww! What a sweet invitation.
??? who could resist!
Yes, it’s official, Saturday night is date night! All that’s left to do now is sew up a couple of those deep red curtains to hang in front of the tv. To get that whow!-effect…
Thanks for the compliments everyone. CJ
Yep, illustrated it all. Thanks. CJ
I love the little seat that popped up! Who could say no to an adorable card like that!
(If DW is used I always read ‘don’t worry’ and I need to look up it’s meaning every time…)
(Marc, skip this comment.)
See, this is the downside to showing Marc Lettuce Crafts…
Now you can all see how much more talented he is than me!
Just kidding. But yes, he is amazingly talented.
Also, I am so lucky to have Marc in my life!
And I’ve got a movie date for tomorrow night!
Hey Riechan, I hate the expression hubby, hubster, hubman etc. But when I found out DH is frequently used here for Dear Husband I thought DW would work as well. Dear Wife… Although, now that I see it spelled out like that I think we could maybe come up with something better…
OK, I’m not reading this. Nope, not me. Didn’t see that.
Beautiful card and such a romantic gesture!
I laughed when I saw you use ‘DW’ because I’d read your comments about not liking what husbands are called
Just don’t use The Wife … that makes my blood boil.
Every little piece of this is brilliant - even the flip-side! But the loveseat is my favorite.
I hope she said yes! Wait, I read from the comments YES! SHE SAID YES!!!
Honestly, this is the bomb dot com.
Ow yeah, don’t get me started on that one either: “da wife”… “I don’t go out with my friends cause da wife won’t let me”. I literally smack a guy round the ears if I hear him use that “term”, ugh!
