You use some kind of adhesive first - maybe embossing ink? After letting that dry to a sticky touch, then you rub on the foil. Haven’t tried it but I have some in a drawer. I’m fairly certain that I bought an embossing pad and pen with the foil sheets. Hope this helps

Thanks for that ill give it a try and post results

I’m pretty sure when I owned sheets like this 20 years ago, I used a fine tip glue pen; let the glue dry, then rub the foil on top. I can’t see the pen I had, but googling suggests Zig brand might work. Don’t get repositionabale, you want the glue to stay put.

Be sure to place the foil down with the shiny foil side facing up, the dull or matte side facing down onto the sticky glue. Took me a while to understand this.

I have some that I bought from Aliexpress. They are small like that in a little zipper bag. I haven’t used them yet but I’ve been watching lots of foiling videos for different ways to use the foils. I don’t have a Minc machine or anything like that. The videos I’ve been watching are ways to use glues, embossing adhesives and double-sided tapes to create foil designs.

Sometimes, instructions include laser printer prints or copied images made with a toner cartridge machine. I don’t have any of those so I ignore those tips. I have an inkjet printer and don’t want to go to a copy center to make toner prints.
