How to Survive a Horror Movie Stitching

I’m new here so hope this post is in the right place.
I made this for my 18 year-old, horror-movie-loving granddaughter for Christmas (it has red in it so it’s Christmasy, right??)
I wanted to re-mat it with a narrower mat but she won’t let me change anything!

This is awesome! And I am assuming - so true. I am sure she gets a kick out of saying her grandmother made that for her!

And Welcome to LC! :green_heart:

That’s amazing! Was this a pattern you bought or made up? Either way, it turned out great. I now have a new idea of something to stitch up a friend who is also a horror movie/book enthusiast.

Welcome to LettuceCraft! This is such a great gift for a horror fan! The red mat really sets off the black fabric.

Welcome to LC! I love this! It’s such a fun present and had me giggling. Number 7 in particular.

Thanks for the kind words! I added/changed a couple of the sayings but got the original pattern on The Witchy Stitcher site. There were a few things I didn’t use, such as edging & a couple of bloody knives that I didn’t think were as well-designed as the hand, but overall, that was the pattern. I also used a DMC variegated dark red I had been holding onto instead of the reds they recommended, because I liked the fading red color look…

Thank you - I do think it should be narrower but she won’t let me change it

I do try to be a cool Gigi, LOL. Harder with my 1 granddaughter than my grandsons. All I have to do with them is play Halo with them on XBox, but girls are harder! We have bonded over love of horror movies.
