“Song of My People” for black cat shenanigans
“Windy” for a windy day
“The Scene” for bikes
I grabbed these from the mailbox just before spraining my wrist again doing something mundane, so once I managed to wrangle the envelope open, this totally made my day!
I think most if not all of us have been there. I definitely have – some of the projects from my early swaps I try not to think about .
People tend to be their own harshest critics (especially in a supportive environment like LC). It’s great to recognize areas you want to improve, but please also give yourself some grace.
@MamaRhi – I love your ravens/crows. The background and the “shiny things” work perfectly together. I wouldn’t want to tangle with them. Your spelling bee is clever too! Speaking of clever, using toothpicks for the ladder on the book card is great. The eyes are amazing. Your nanacy Drew card looks great. We can call that a Happy Accident.
@geekgirl – I was totally expecting collage from you. You shocked me with these amazing drawings. The ragdoll girl and flowers are fantastic. You know I love the ones you sent me - Chewy!!!
@jeanneleigh – The sugar skulls are so clean and precise. Love how unique, yet cohesive they are. The postage stamp idea is so inventive! I may have to try it on another round. I covet those Cryptids! Your hearts are so nicely shaded. I love how you used the colored papers (I am guessing) for all of your cards.
@Smmarrt – All your cards are great. I love the dog. It’s a cute dog, who wouldn’t? I also love that Create Art heart. The background is amazing. I love the little kitten hidden behind the flowers card too.
@WiccadWitch – The monster with the bear is absolutely adorable. I want to snuggle him right now. And the octopus and raven are phenomenal. Fantastic shading!
@megwell – Your Nancy Drew card is spot on. I love the birds too. Nice soothing colors.
I mean, did you have to put my cards up with @WiccadWitch 's? LOL! Hers makes mine look bad.
That mushroom is captivating and the monster is adorable, but don’t get me started on that phenomenal cat! Wow!! Wow a hundred times. It’s gorgeous!
These were frustrating lol. I realized a moment too late that I’d grabbed the wrong color for the compas rose. In my mind i wanted it red. And the bee one… I had intended the entire time to use foreign language paper because I was working on it in NY while traveling. Not too happy how it turned out, but didn’t have a backup plan.
Thank you for being my partner!
These ended up traversing the states (coast to coast and stops in between) while working on them… then discovering I forgot some supplies.
