I’ve been meaning to try this technique for quite a while, and have been collecting broken jewelry and cheap jewelry from garage sales with that goal in mind.
For some reason, I decided I needed to sew all the jewelry in place instead of gluing it. It made the process 10x longer & harder! Still, it was fun and I’ll likely try it again sometime.
I tried to stick mostly to gold metals & thread, to better coordinate with the frame, which was a hand-me-down. Accented with mainly reds and pinks and white. Included a few porcelain flowers (which had to be glued since there was no way to sew them).
That looks like a Victorian masterpiece! So lovely and intricate and visually interesting.

Wow! I have seen a few similar junk jewelry pieces, all lovely. Yours is stunning! It feels put together with so many different pieces but still cohesive. The background really brings out all the colors and textures beautifully. I love the interspersed hearts.
It’s beautiful! Nice frame and red back too. Your salvaged jewelry is arranged very well, especially the point of the heart. Yes, sewing instead of gluing would be a bit much for me.
I’m organizing salvaged jewelry too, for a tabletop cone Christmas tree. All crystals, whites and creams.
