I joined a swap last year to construct a page for our partner/s that they can add to their own Junk Journal. I picked two partners and the themes I picked was travel and Japan, which just happens to be two of my favorite themes. My family has lived in several different countries, and Japan was our favorite and my husband considers it our “home”. We lived there for 3 1/2 years and hope to go back in the future.

Here are the two pages I came up with for the swap.

The travel one lives happily in my journal! (I’m happy at least; I guess I haven’t actually asked the page.)

I need to remake them for my own junk journal. Thanks for being my swap partner. That was a fun one. Hope we do another this year.

Love how you used the suitcase and torii to cover the surprises behind them! What a fun technique!

Those are lovely! My mom was stationed in Japan for three yeeat and I got to visit during the summers. I loved it!
