Just a Few February Watercolors

I had hoped to practice more watercolor during February, but alas, I only ended up with a wonky few actual pieces.
Sharing here for posterity! :joy:

First up, this little silly roo:

Then an attempt at an old photo that was a little wonky to begin with. I tried to “fix” this one with some ink, but I still feel meh.

And lastly, a little painting of my little sweet hen. She recently started laying a few eggs again after taking a break for winter, and sometimes she seems a little surpsied about “where that thing came from.”

I really like how the rooster and hen came out! :purple_heart: The hen is my favorite of the three!

I don’t think they’re wonky at all. They are wonderful and evocative. There’s so much personality in each.

These are so fabulous! I love the last one most but each of them has so much action & character. The cats are cracking me up! Who doesn’t know that cat move? It’s so funny. Do you make prints of your work for cards? They would sell like hot cakes, I would want them aaallllll!

Awww thanks everyone! @Magpie I really should think about printing a few greeting cards!

Also, here’s the original photo of the cats, back when Quilly was a tiny orange rascal, heehee. It’s a cute photo, but the perspective makes it tricky (or I just need to keep practicing, haha)

I LOVE the rooster and the hen paintings but all are fabulous.

I like the little light reflection in the rooster eye, the dot of white. That particular detail and the eye in general really draws me in.
Your watercolors are great!
