I finished the center motif section of this quilt from the 1980’s. I want to do some simple trim or sashing around the busy kitty pattern. Do any of you have an idea of what colors would look good?

Looks like a good old fashioned country quilt with all of the stars and the colors! I love it!
I would do a blue border, maybe 4 inches wide…do you have any of the fabrics left? A mixed fabric binding would be great!

Blue is my favorite color so it will probably win out for a simple strip border. Thanks for the suggestion. The pattern does call for a border of mixed 1 inch squares like the ones in the center, but I didn’t want to sew more tiny squares. Ha! I have so many projects going at once, so that is my excuse.
