Kitty cross-stitch

I made this for the color in a box swap. It was a last minute addition, but I want to note that this little last minute kitty cross-stitch took so much longer than I anticipated. Mostly because my eyes have degraded as I’ve aged and I could barely see what I was doing. I mean seriously, I had to undo and redo several stitches along the way because I skipped squares.

But in the end, I thought it turned out cute.

I added a little felt circle to the back to finish it off.

So cute! The teal/black/pink are giving me 50s vibes. Black aida is a bear to work with sometimes, but this looks great!

So sweet!

Working on black is always hard on the eyes.

And I hear you about the eyesight thing. Whew! My eyes weren’t great to begin with.

And the back looks great…. That’s always the hardest part for me

Thanks everyone!

@wittychild You’re right; it totally has 50s vibes. I didn’t notice until you mentioned it.

I didn’t realize that black aida is partially challenging though it makes sense. I just know I have to ask the kid to thread my needle some days because I get fed up trying to do it. It’d probably help if I got some readers and better lighting in the house.

Very cute! Black aida is made out of torment and sadism, but yields such striking results! That’s how they getcha.
