I decided to join the Solstice Challenge on Knit Collage this year. I’ve long coveted the Knit Collage yarns but never had the right project in mind. Enter the solstice hug!
The challenge was 10 days but I finished this in about 3. It was a fast and fun knit and I added German short rows to my repertoire. The yarn is a kit from Knit Collage and includes spun cloud, daisy chain, and sari yarn. I alternated yarn just about every 1-2 rows.
I just love looking at the yarn. There are so many fun bits!
I was a little worried this would be awkward to wear and while that’s somewhat true, it offers the perfect amount of in-between warmth and I find myself reaching for it more than I thought I would.
I LOVE all the textures and colors, it looks so great on you. It seems very in style with all the dickies, and cowl hoods in popularity. It seems like great to throw on under a coat to reduce the bulk of a full sweater while still giving you warmth, or something to wear around the house. Also, very cute on zoom calls where chest-up is all people see anyway.
Congrats on finding the right project to finally justify getting some of that yarn! It came out great. When I zoomed in, I could see why you enjoy looking at that yarn. I love how textural this piece is!
Oh, so snuggly! And your photo shoot looks so professional. At first I thought you were showing the sample pictures from a website, then I realized, “no, that’s her!”
