Koi 2D Art Class Assignment

Years ago I worked for SCAD in their IT department. Savannah College of Art and Design allows their employees to take one class per quarter for free! I took full advantage of this benefit and was working on a Graphic Design degree. By the time I left, I was a junior and could have finished in another year and half with my Bachelor’s but it was too expensive to pay out of pocket. I took the classes just for fun and wasn’t really wanting another degree, but you have to declare a major when taking classes.

Anyway, this was one of my assignments in my 2D class. We took a design and used it as a template to be used on a larger scale. I should try to make this into a fabric pattern. This was done with paint and colored pencils.

I even had the original template as a pattern as a special order in the earlier STS at craftster.org and had it turned into a stamp. I will have to find the stamp, I haven’t seen it with all the years of moving multiple times.

What was that site that did custom fabric designs? I can’t remember who ordered the graphics from this site and made a bag for the online store to raise money. I would love to try and request for it. Also still would like a a yard or two of the lettuce characters too.

It’s Spoonflower. You can upload your own designs.

That pattern is lovely and the basr art itself just as entrancing.
