I was on a card making kick and decided to quickly knock out a few extra cards that I can use in the next few months. I say quick…but I spent four hours on six cards. Some was trial and error. Some was cutting. And some was me just being SLOWWWW. There are 3 distinct designs using papers from a Recollections cardstock pad I bought at Michael’s.
For the Snow Blessed card, I used some vellum from a candy box under the tag. For the mugs card, I used regular vellum (and learned the hard way how to invisibly attach vellum to background paper). For the snowman present card, I used a Caran D’ache crayon to lighten the card stock behind the tag.
The tags were from one sheet of paper in the pad, the gifts decorative strip was another paper I cut into strips from that same pad, and the background papers are both from the pad.
You’ve found really cute ways to utilize those tags and strips pages in those pads of printed cardstock!
What solution did you find for attaching vellum? A few years ago I bought some adhesive sheets that are supposed to be just for this, but I find most of the time I just try to hide the glued areas behind another element. Not always satisfying.
For invisible attachment, you use tombow mono glue (the multi one), spread it on a mat and then dab on with a bit of sponge. I followed this YouTube tutorial and it works quite well.
