LC Shawl-Along ~ Knitters & Crocheters Unite!

Yesss!!!

I am slooowly working my way through my boomerang crescent shawl:

It’s taking me forever because I’m not motivated to just knit, knit, knit. I think I need a more challenging pattern for the next one. I’m hoping to get three done by Xmas! This shawl-along should help! :raised_hands:

The shawl I started crocheting at the very end of last year has been in a time out since maybe February! ?

I’ve miscalculated some stitches and on the pattern part it would be obvious. I just need to fix it and it will be fine.

Must try harder!

Ugh, it’s so tough to remotivate after a mistake.

I completed a couple more rows on my shawl last night while enjoying some of The Fellowship of the Ring. I think I found a winning combination.

@Abbeeroad, what pattern are you using for your shawl? It could be the first one in our new list of knitted patterns.

Thanks friends! Your patterns have been added to the new Knitting Patterns list.

I also took the opportunity to mark all links that only go to Ravelry with a scissors emoji. :scissors: I know some folks don’t have, and don’t want a Ravelry account. Wherever possible, I linked to a regular website where the pattern was available. When there was no alternative, I linked to Ravelry, and added the scissors.

I have more than a hundred shawl patterns on my ‘wanna knit’ list…slowly but surely

And I was recently reunited with my out-of-state yarn stash and realize I have more than enough yarn to last me this lifetime :smiley_cat:

Once I finish my current project for a swap my next one is supposed to be a shawl. I’m going to attempt this one: Ravelry: Regina Marie pattern by Sara Huntington Burch

I think people should be able to download free patterns from Ravelry without an account as long as they have a link to the pattern.

Here are a few knit shawl patterns from my might-make-someday list :

Giant cozy shawl:

I love shawls that wrap around & tie in the back like this one (free version here):

I probably won’t make this one any time soon, but it’s beautiful:

Here is a bit of progress on my Carol shawl…it is knitted and joined as you go, not put together in pieces…I just have to be sure to get the order correct or else it is impossible to go back and fix it…lol…poor thing, I have frogged out more than I have knitted…

That looks…complicated. Wow! I’m sure it will be a beautiful accomplishment when finished.

Neat!

I’m working on a shawl right now, but it’s for Ms. Abbee, so I can’t share pictures. But I did put in most of Sunday afternoon on it, and managed 10+ rows. Trying to work in time for it around a few custom bracelet designs I’m working on in my studio.

It really isn’t at all…just plain old knit and purls with some yarn overs thrown in…the hardest part is picking up the stitches to join because I can’t see as well…but I started using stitch markers to help me at least find the midpoints so they are all attached about the same…not going for perfect or it will never get done! lol…the pattern is free on the Berroco site…
