I combined this months themes from three craftalongs:
from the stitchalong, “something unexpected” (stitching on paper)
Craft this in your style–the leaves spoke to me, and the pop of blue
and the destash-along for the colors
A cord is stitched up the center of each paper leaf, then they are stitched to a hanging cord.
The journey was fraught.
It turned out great!

This is so pretty! You stitched it to the hanging cord? How in the world did you do that?
I left extra cord at the top of each leaf, and machine zigzagged all along the hangcord, adding leaves as I went.
