I made this little play cape for @MistressJennie’s daughter, who is adorably nicknamed Ada Bumblebee. I just couldn’t resist. Inspiration came from this super cute little bee bag I saw on Pinterest.
Modeled by the fabulous Grogu (such a good sport):
I put some interfacing in the wings to give them some structure. I thought about stitching wing details, but ended up liking the pattern on the fabric and left them as is. The length was basically dictated by how much yellow and black fabric I had. It’s shorter than I would typically make a play cape, but I think it still works!
Thanks for looking!
It’s so sweet! And heartbreakingly cute on her. She’s not sure about wearing yet, but she likes to carry it around the living room right now.
I’ll try to snap a pic this afternoon…
This is absolutely adorable! She’s gonna be so cute in it!
So cute! I agree, the fabric for the wings looks great as is.
Uncooperative toddler action shots…
All the smooches for the cutest little bee! @Abbeeroad, she looks adorable! Great job!
So cuuuute! The cape and the kiddo.
Just when I thought the cape pics were The Cutest, I saw the action shots! ACK! Adorbs!
Very diplomatic to not include a stinger.
Oh that is just beyond adorable!! What a fantastic gift!
Ahahaha…that’s part of the optional expansion pack.
The cape and Ada are adorable!
This is utterly adorable! I love it on her too. She makes such an adorable little bumblebee!
So, so cute. I love that age/stage.
THIS IS ADORABLE! Who could resist this sweet little Bumblebee?
@Abbeeroad and @MistressJennie you both do great work!
Oh mah gawd this is Thee Cutest!
