In the spring to life swap I was paired with @Tapestry and she listed birds and hooplas in her wish list.
I had some metal hoops lying around that I wanted to use to make some window decor a mobiles. And during maintenance work in the garden I found some perfectly shaped branches that quickly brought an idea to my mind.
Fabric birds and paper flowers.
Well, things rarely go as planned. First I realized that the hoops I had were too large to put into a reasonably priced international package. Second I was afraid that my paper flowers would arrive totally squished.
So I ordered some smaller bamboo hoops which was a great decision because I really love the look. And by accident I started to do some paper quilling because my 8yo was doing an art project in school that included quilling and she was asking me to buy supplies.
I’m always happy to try a new craft. Here’s the result:
Oh my goodness, this is absolutely adorable! I love everything about it. The little birds are so precious! The quilled flowers are perfect, and I love the colors too. Everything is magnificent!
I’m so thrilled this little beauty gets to hang in my dining room. I see it every night over dinner and smile. You did such a fabulous job and those little fabric birds are so darling. I love it!
