I recently sorted and organized all my paper craft supplies and ‘found’ a lot of pretty craft paper. I decided to use some of it to make little envelopes (8 x 6 cm - 3 1/8 x 2 3/8 inch).
I used free templates from Sarica Studio.
As I always do, I copied them onto trash cardboard (from a cereal box) for a reusable template.
I just trace around it with pencil, cut with scissors and glue with paper glue (Pritt stick).
I can see how they would be addictive between the zen of the folding and the prettiness of the paper. A treat for the soul and the eyes… with a nice end product, too!

What a great use for your “found” paper! I am always tempted by envelope making, so please tell me how will you use yours. Most of the cards I make come with an envelope specifically sized for it and as much as I wish I did, I don’t really send letters aside from cards. But I want to make the envelopes!
What will I use them for? (Besides them just sitting there looking pretty…)
I’m definitely going to include some in my Happy Mail.
I’ll put little stickers or stamped images and such inside.
I think they would also be good for gifting money, or for adding a small note to a gift.
And the journal makers amongst us might add them to their journals.
You could even glue one to a handmade card.
I think they have many possible uses.
PS: I already made 25 more, with different prints (told you it was addictive).

I love your little envelopes! I know they can’t be used to mail but I also put them inside cards to hold a tag or little surprise…I glue them onto journal pages or cards and I use them to create little mini journals…something about being tinier makes them so appealing…
These are SO pretty! This would be awesome for using those small odd bits of wrapping paper that always seem to be not quite right for wrapping a box. @AIMR mentioned that they can’t be mailed. I wonder why that is?

They are too small. If they were I believe 3 1/2 x 5 inches (maybe more) or bigger, they can.
