Little Girl's Dress (Simplicity S8852)

Ok! It’s finished :man_shrugging:t3:.The neck piece is just bad, and my applying the bias tape blows mount Vesuvius, but at least the puckering sort of matches both sides, :no_mouth:. Am still debating if I want to sew one more line around the neck to force the neck facing down.. I feel really good today, so maybe I’ll just run over there and try it on her before I do any more.

I find taking the dohickey off the watchamacallit makes it so much easier for getting my fingers closer to the thingamabob for when I was attaching the bias tape.

Now it’s not bad bad, but it could have been better.

Well, I got one button the right way,.

You are learning so much with your clothing sewing! I am so impressed you keep pushing yourself.

Well done you! Your sewing skills are coming along great, and I like your cat helper too :smile_cat:

Wow, Charles I am so impressed with just how much progress you’ve made in a few short months! This dress came out really cute.
When I sew binding on my quilts, I like to use a zipper foot to help me get my seam really close to the edge. I put the foot up against my binding and adjust the needle so that it’s at the edge of the binding.

Maybe this will help with your future bias tape endeavors.

Huh! Never thought of trying different feet (foots?) for other purposes.. Will have to try that.

 I should be able to pull off a garment a day, or more. Stupid lightheadedness,.
