When I was a kid, I hated pasta salad. My dad forced to eat a bite and that came right back up. Nope. I didn’t actually start eating and liking pasta salad until I was in my 30s. I made a big batch for my husband’s 30th birthday party and still refused to eat it then. My taste buds and love for food has changed so much in my 30s, I now love beans and macaroni salad! But not ketchup. Still a nope!
This macaroni salad recipe is seriously the bomb. My husband is always wanting me to make this one. It’s been a staple in our get-together lives for 10 years now. So, if you are in need a good macaroni salad recipe, then give this one a try!

So it’s fine if you don’t have all the same things. I generally use whatever pickles I have at home, and not sweet gherkins. I have jars of homemade canned sandwich sliced dill pickles that I use. Juice and all. I guess I enjoy my pasta salad a little more tangy than sweet. Also, use whatever vinegar you have on hand! It calls for red wine vinegar, but I’ve been out for ages. I’ve used white wine vinegar, rice vinegar, and just plain ol apple cider vinegar and it is always good! If I don’t have celery, which is the case a lot of the time, I sub it for cucumbers. We always have cucumbers on hand since my daughter loves them.
