Back when the LC garage sale was taking place I made a few items to donate. I was inspired by @TheMistressT’s Thank You Embellishments and made some thank you and handmade tags to attach to the donations I shipped out.
I found some scrappy looking fabric that was perfect for the hearts. I used a cardstock template to cut all the hearts out. After cutting the first heart out of floppy fabric, I used some terial magic (which I had previously purchased and was just waiting for a project to use it on) which stiffened the fabric making it so much easier to work with. When it came time to embroider, I stitched the heart outline first, positioned all the hearts, then proceeded to stitch out the tags.
Thank you! Your idea of sending the thank you embellishments out with items you were shipping really got my wheels spinning. I don’t know if I would’ve come up with these if you hadn’t created your post, so thank you so much for sharing your creativity with all of us!
And thank you all so much! These were a fairly quick project that made me happy. I loved seeing the completed tags, I loved sending them out into the world, and it was really nice to experience the joy of completing a project (especially since most of my projects seem to take forever!). This is something I can easily see myself making again. I like having cards on hand when doing swaps or sending out handmade gifts and I feel these fit that same bill.
