Make your own wardrobe for summer!

My spring/summer wardrobe is sad and boring. I don’t buy clothes very often and I often just do not like the colors and styles available. And my summer tanks are getting to be rather tatty. I end up with lots of navy, gray, black, with occasional burgundy or blue, maybe a purple. Sigh. Just how many navy t-shirts and tanks can one woman own?

I have a tie-dyed t-shirt and a tank I love that I picked up at summer festivals. So I used them to draft patterns and make some shirts. It’s a chilly March day today, but these shirts give me hope.

The rainbow tank was modified from a very large tie-dyed shirt I picked up for $5 10 to 15 years ago. The dancing tree women was a small, long-sleeved t-shirt that was too tiny for my DW. And the other one was from some fabric from a dead stock store I just discovered.

This purple/navy spiral tie-dyed t-shirt just didn’t fit, so I did some modifications.

You really elevated those tees! The buttons are fantastic. Great save on shirts that would have otherwise never gotten worn!

Great mods! And what a fantastic way to get in the mood for Spring/Summer.

Every morning I wake up and it’s still winter and I’m so sick of winter clothes!
