I made this blanket for a young lady that works at our favorite restaurant. Everyone who works there feels like family, so it seems natural to make something for her first baby. It will be a girl with a “V” name. This is a surprise for the expectant mom, so hopefully, she likes non-traditional colors. She’s pretty free spirited and funky.
The monogram is made using the duplicate stitch method, and it was my first time doing this type of work.
Here’s the pattern for the blanket. I modified the pattern with the square in the center for the monogram.
And here is the pattern for the monogram:

@TheMistressT Thanks. They always treat us so amazingly at this restaurant. When I had surgery in 2017, they unexpectedly gave us a week’s worth of meals so that my husband could just warm up things to eat. We try to give back that “family” feeling whenever we can.
@stitchandstones I checked, and she will be there next Monday when we go for our weekly dinner, so I’ll be able to give it to her then.

Thanks everyone. I struggled at first to think of what I could do using only stash yarn, and how to personalize it.
