It’s just a belt, no significance. Playing here in Ireland means we’re quite overlooked in terms of arts and sciences, the laurel committee types are all in the UK, so despite winning the kingdom (which is all of Europe and south Africa) artisan competition (and still reigning champion-thanks Covid) I’ll never be laurel.
