Well, I decided to do some portrait commissions to make money for a Las Vegas trip next month for my fiancé’s birthday. We’re staying with my family, as I grew up there, until High School, then I moved to California. We don’t drink or gamble, but I have a photography project planned using vintage Polaroid 600 cameras. I also have a couple vintage 35mm Canon SLR camera, that I wanna use color film and have it developed by someone else, because I only know how to develop b&w film. Lol. I’ll probably use Walgreens or a small print shop in Los Angeles.
Anyway!! These are my friends!! They were the first to employ me to make a portrait of them!! They gave me several references and the one I’m showing you is us at my space themed birthday party 3 years ago. They are really cool and I was honored to draw them. I made up her hair color and style based on her photos, and their outfits match their commitment ceremony clothing colors. It was so fun to draw. 4x6 Watercolor and Crayon.

My auntie is gunna buy some of my film in exchange of me making a portrait painting of me and her based on a photo I take of us in Vegas. She’s coming down from Utah! I am so excited!!!
What a cool portrait! Some family of mine have gone to Las Vegas and said their is more to do than drink or gamble. I guess there’s a really fountain show?

I recently got close to my dad’s family again, so I’m really happy to get to spend time with them on our trip. My aunt has always been my favorite aunt, and the reason I wanna be a great aunt to my niblings. I was her flower girl at her wedding, and I want my niece to be mine.
It’s nice when families are close knit.
