I’m probably missing an obvious category for this, but I figured it counted as an accessory!
I have these trusty old Bose headphones, which I LOVE, except for the flimsy pleather they use (and honesy some of the plastic leaves a but to be desired, too).
They’ve been flaking off little black specks for a good long time, so I decided it was time to replace those bits and soup them up a little too.
Here’s a “before” (well, I guess, “middle”) photo:
I ended up taking them WAY more apart than I actually needed, as is my style 
so I ended up spray painting the outside shells with colorshift paint I had left from spiffing up my AlphaSmart.
I was originally going to replace the entire headband thing on the top, but once I removed the disintegrating fake leather, I realized the foam and core were fine, so I jusf hand-sewed a nee crude cover with a bit of the Arts &Crafts club fat quarter from Nerd Games Summer Camp
(It’s crude, I know. But it’s fluorescent thread!)
There are also little extra “belts” on the ends because I was just making it up as I went.
I added some stickers of made by some local artist friends (and a pair of ear cushions that I ended up just purchasing because these things were really apparently not built to be repaired/refurbished at home 
) and bada bing, bada boom! I have non-shedding headphones again!
