Back in October, and alongside my birdtober stones, I started filling this tiny sketchbook with little watercolor and ink illustrations of native birds from Hawaii. I included all the birds on our local list, and added some more here and there to fill the whole book. I finally finished it!
There are 43 different species represented.
I liked carrying this tiny book around. It fit in a pencil case, with a travel brush and some tiny palettes, so I often had it with me in case I had a chance to paint.
Since videos don’t really work here, I hope it’s okay if I just go ahead and put photos of them all there. …
Ack! I love your tiny book so much! The drawings are so expressive and lovely and you’ve captured the charm and beauty of the various species. Thank you for sharing all the pages! Such a great project.
