I made these to start with, for the grab bag swap, but they were turning out so cute that I had to make a few for the STS as well!
The two with the flowers in the corners went out in the swap and the other two will be part of the STS.

The flies… 
Are you covering little boxes with paper? They look too tiny to cover, but they are fabulous as a base!
I love these…the little houses are my favorite!
Ack! These are delightful! The flies on the spooky one are hilarious!
Very, very cool! That last one feels like a Gauguin setting.
@AIMR I made the boxes from scratch using mat board, and yes, I covered them with paper. They measure approx 2 inches x 2 inches.

What did you use for the boxes? Were they assembled by you? I’m curious how you got the paper all the way around the sides.

I made the boxes out of mat board. And glue. Lots and lots of glue! 
I cut a 6x6 piece of paper and scored it at the 2 inch and 4 inch mark in each direction. Placed the box in the center and folded up the sides to mark where they reached the edge of the box. I cut the corners out of the paper so that when laid flat it looked like a big + shape. The folded and glued.
